Our Services

Roof Inspection & Maintenance

Planned inspections and preventive maintenance to extend your roof's life and keep costly repairs at bay.

Prevention Is Always Cheaper Than Cure

Most serious roofing problems start as minor issues that go unnoticed until they cause real damage. A regular inspection catches these early — when they cost tens of pounds to fix, not thousands.

We offer one-off inspections, planned maintenance programmes, and ongoing contracts for landlords and property managers who need reliable, documented roof care across multiple properties.

  • Catch problems early — before they become expensive repairs
  • Fully written condition report with photographs provided
  • Priority scheduling for maintenance contract customers
  • Discounted repair rates for maintenance agreement holders
  • Annual reminder service — we contact you when your inspection is due
  • Available for residential landlords and property management companies

How it works background

How It Works

A simple, four-step process from booking to an agreed maintenance plan.

01

Book Your Inspection

Schedule a convenient time and we'll confirm attendance. Most inspections are carried out within 3–5 working days of booking.

02

Thorough Assessment

Our roofer inspects every element of your roof — tiles, flashing, ridge, valleys, gutters, and any flat roof sections — and photographs all findings.

03

Detailed Written Report

You receive a full written condition report with photographs, rating each element as good, monitor, or action required — with clear priority recommendations.

04

Maintenance Plan

We agree a maintenance schedule tailored to your roof's condition — whether that's an annual check, bi-annual treatment, or a one-off package of repairs.

Maintenance Services We Offer

A full range of preventive roof care — available individually or as part of a planned maintenance programme.

Annual Roof Inspection
Annual Roof Inspection
RecommendedAll roof types

A thorough, independent inspection carried out by an experienced roofer with a full written condition report. The most cost-effective way to stay ahead of problems.

Moss & Algae Treatment
Moss & Algae Treatment
Bi-annualPitched roofs

Biocide treatment to kill and prevent moss and algae growth, which traps moisture and accelerates tile deterioration. Includes post-treatment brush-off where required.

Gutter Clearance
Gutter Clearance
Twice yearlyAll properties

Blocked gutters are one of the most common causes of damp and water ingress. We clear all debris from gutters, downpipes, and hoppers and check for leaks and sagging.

Ridge & Pointing Check
Ridge & Pointing Check
Every 5 yearsMortar roofs

Mortar-bedded ridge and hip tiles need periodic re-pointing as mortar shrinks and cracks over time. We assess and re-bed any loose or failing sections before they become a leak risk.

Flashing Inspection
Flashing Inspection
AnnualAll properties

Lead and mortar flashings around chimneys, skylights, and abutments are inspected for cracking, lifting, and failed joints — the most common single cause of roof leaks.

Thermal Imaging Survey

Using thermal imaging cameras, we identify areas of hidden moisture trapped in flat roofs and insulation — allowing targeted repairs without unnecessary stripping work.

Common Questions

Everything you need to know about roof inspections and maintenance.

How often should I have my roof inspected?

We recommend a professional inspection at least once every two years for roofs in good condition, and annually for roofs over 20 years old or those with a history of issues. Many of our customers opt for an annual inspection as part of a maintenance agreement.

What does a roof inspection include?

Our inspection covers all visible roof elements including tiles or slates, ridge and hip tiles, flashing, valleys, gutters and downpipes, any flat roof sections, and the condition of chimneys. We provide a full written report with photographic evidence for every element inspected.

Can you inspect a roof without scaffolding?

For most inspections, we use ladders and, where safe to do so, carry out a close visual inspection from the roof. For larger or more complex roofs, or where we identify issues requiring close examination, we may recommend scaffold access.

Do you offer maintenance contracts for landlords?

Yes. We provide tailored maintenance contracts for residential landlords and managing agents covering multiple properties. These include scheduled inspections, gutter clearances, moss treatment, and priority emergency call-out at preferential rates.
