How it works background

How It Works

From survey to fully installed and tested system in four clear steps.

01

Survey & Assessment

We inspect your existing gutters, fascias, soffits, and downpipes, identify any failing sections, and measure up for a full replacement or repair quote.

02

Material Selection

Choose from uPVC, aluminium, or cast iron systems in a range of profiles and colours. We'll recommend the best option for your property type and budget.

03

Professional Installation

Old gutters and fascias are carefully removed and disposed of. New systems are fitted with correctly calculated falls, sealed joints, and secure fixings.

04

Test & Clean-up

We test all gutters under flow conditions, clear any debris from downpipes, and leave your property clean and tidy. Full guarantee provided on all work.

Systems & Materials

We supply and install the full range of guttering, fascia, soffit, and drainage systems.

uPVC Guttering
uPVC Guttering
25–30 yearsMost popular choice

Lightweight, low-maintenance, and available in a wide range of profiles and colours. uPVC is the most popular gutter system for residential properties and requires no painting.

Cast Iron Guttering
Cast Iron Guttering
50–100 yearsPeriod & heritage homes

The traditional choice for Victorian and Edwardian properties. Cast iron guttering is heavier and requires periodic painting but offers unmatched longevity and authentic appearance.

Aluminium Guttering
Aluminium Guttering
30–40 yearsLightweight & durable

Seamless aluminium guttering is formed on-site to the exact length required, eliminating joints and reducing the risk of leaks. An excellent alternative to cast iron for period homes.

Fascia Boards
Fascia Boards
20–30 yearsuPVC or timber

Fascia boards support the lower edge of the roof and carry the gutter. Rotten or damaged timber fascias are replaced with low-maintenance uPVC boards finished to match your property.

Soffit Boards
Soffit Boards
20–30 yearsVentilated or solid

Soffits close the gap between the fascia and the wall. Ventilated soffit boards allow essential airflow into the roof space to prevent condensation and timber decay.

Downpipes & Drains
Downpipes & Drains
25–40 yearsMatched to gutters

Downpipes, hoppers, and shoe outlets are replaced to match your new gutter system. We check all underground drainage connections are clear and flowing freely before we leave.

Common Questions

Everything you need to know about gutter and fascia replacement.

How do I know if my gutters need replacing?

Common signs include visible sagging, cracks or splits, persistent leaking at joints, water marks on external walls below the gutters, or paint peeling on fascia boards. If your gutters are more than 25 years old, a replacement is likely more cost-effective than ongoing repairs.

Can you replace fascias without replacing the gutters?

Yes, in many cases. However, if the existing gutters are old or in poor condition, we often recommend replacing both at the same time as the labour cost is similar and it avoids revisiting the work in a few years.

Do I need scaffolding for gutter and fascia replacement?

For most two-storey properties we use scaffolding or a mobile tower to ensure safe access. For single-storey work, ladders are usually sufficient. The cost of any scaffold access is included in your quote.

What is the difference between a half-round and ogee gutter profile?

Half-round is a smooth, semi-circular profile that suits most modern homes. Ogee (or K-style) has a flat back and decorative front face and is more commonly found on period properties. We stock both profiles in multiple sizes.
